Discount Coupon Restriction by URL

I give out a coupon to customers the are multiple repeat purchasers. The issue is that coupon sites are getting my coupon information. Also one of my affiliate programs - merchants is a coupon site. So 1st time customers are getting our discount.

Can I have the coupon code not work by placing something in the URL link that will tell my cart not to allow the coupon/discount?

It would probably be better to customize the Discount Coupon ot_coupon Order Total module to check if the Customer has made a previous Order before you allow a Discount Coupon to work ...

This way, you can provide a message or some explanation as to why you are not accepting a Discount Coupon ...

Is this a feature in admin or do i need a programmer to have this done?

You would need to customize the code to check if there is a previous order for the customer and if not, set a message and not allow the Discount Coupon ...

So, yes, if you are not able to do this your self, you would then need a programmer to do this for you ...
