Products Webpage external link error

Hi - Using Zencart v1.3.9h

I have entered a web site link to a product in the Categories/Products window under the Products URL as "www.twowheeltrekkers.co.uk/nomad/nomad.html" exactly this with the /'s

I then click on Preview. In the next screen I click on the link to the products web page and all is fine - the page opens with no problems.

But then I go to my online shop and to the product in question and click on the link at the bottom of the page "For more information, please visit this product's webpage." But the page does not open and my browser states

"Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.twowheeltrekkers.co.uk%2fnomad%2fnomad.html.

*   Check the address for typing errors such as
      ww.example.com instead of
      <https://www.example.com>

*   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
      connection.

*   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
      that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

I get the same response in Internet Explorer also.

Can anyone help ?

I have tried EZ-Pages thinking this might be another way of doing it only get a link to the external page I want on the main index page of the shop and am unable to work out if it is possible to link the EZ page with the reelvant product page

Product I am looking at is Nomad Tent ( one product only in this category )

What is meant by the bolded text??

It appears that the "products url" should be this

http://www.nomadtent.com/tents.html

The error page shows
www.twowheeltrekkers.co.uk%2fnomad%2fnomad.html

i.e. with %2f and not the /

I was just stating that I did not enter it as %2f in the products page. The web link I want is the https://www.twowheeltrekkers.co.uk one as this is our web page showing the tent with more details

Are you entering this using the html editor or the plain text editor?

Use the plain text editor

Hi have checked and was in Plain Text mode - tried changing to HTML, deleted and re-inserted the link but no change. Perhaps we could try something else ??

Can you tell me how to link an EZ page to a product page - I have manged to set one up with the external link for the Nomad Tents but it shows on the index and all pages. Can it show just on the Nomad page ?

Add your internal page href to the end of your product description
Something like

Sorry to be so dumb but I must being doing something wrong - in Zencart admin - Catalog - Categorires/Products - Click on Category for Nomad - one item only Nomad Tent click on that but first ensuring top right hand states "Text Editor HTMLarea" In products descritpion adding the wording

at the end but all that happens on my shop product page is the descirption ends with the above typed out.

Just popping in to say thanks for this - I was having the exact same problem - the link is good, but I was entering it in the WYSIWYG and it was doing something odd to the link - went in and edited in plain text and it's all good now.
