Problem with downloadable products

In my cart all my products are downloadable zip files.

I understand how to make them downloadable, but when I do that, instead of the 'Add:' quantity input box showing on the product display, it now shows a '... more info' link that takes customers to the product information page where they have to select the download type they require.

It also turns off the Add Selected Products to Cart button as the products are no longer selectable.

As I only offer the one download format, this step is unecessary, and confusing so I would like to have the add quantity input box back on the main listing page.

Can anyone tell me how to go about doing that?

If ***all ***your products are downloadable, you might try searching the forums for a post that DrByte made (last year, maybe?) with a code modification that would enable the BuyNow button on a product listing page for downloadable products.
