Making Certain products appear as sold out

I've searched and seen plenty that tell you how to make any item appear as "Sold Out" Or just gone, however is there a way to do this per item? I want certain ones to be gone and certain one to say "Sold out".

Any help. Thanks much.

Re: Making Certain products appear as sold out

Can do one or the other

Else you can manually turn the ones you want off as you process the order

Re: Making Certain products appear as sold out

So you're saying that it cannot be set up while you put up the product? But you have to do it only after it's sold. This seems quite limited for a cart like this. Surely there's another way, or a way to make this work. Any others? Thanks much for the first response.

It does not drill down to "per item" as I stated

Re: Making Certain products appear as sold out

Customize your products table and add a new field that marks the individual Product for whether it should be disabled or not when the Order is processed ...

Then, where the products_status would be changed to 0 or left at 1, check the products table for your new field and use that to control if it should let the products_status at 1 or 0 ...
