Products not showing in Admin/Catalog/Categories - EZPop

I've been screwing around with this for 3 days and am at a complete loss.

I've added 695 new products to my site using EP v1.2.5.4 but the products are not showing up in the Admin>Catalog>Categories/Products.

Click on "Axle & drivetrain in the CATEGORIES sidebox then click on Lockers & Carriers and only 3 products show up. There should be sub-cat's for 4 other maufacturers.

Now go to to the MANUFACTURES sidebox and click on EATON. 695 products!!

How do I get these products to show up in correct Category?

I've double and triple checked my Tab Delimited txt file and cannot find any reason for this. I'm happy to send it to someone for a second opinion. I can't post it as a zip file because it's simply to large.

Can someone PLEASE point me the right direction?

I'm still stumped as to why the products I mentioned in my first post are only showing up under the MFG's name.

Post first SIX products of EP file showing EATON products mentioned in your first post...

Uhm... Call me crazy, but... Lockers & Carriers actually show 4 subcategories and not three products - ARB, Detroit, Eaton and Richmond Gear (without category image). If I click Eaton, I get 662 products. I get the same result when I go to Eaton on Manufacturers sidebox.

So, what am I missing here?

About 20-30 minutes ago i decided to scrap all of the products and start fresh.

I changed the product status for all products from 1 to 9 on the tab delimited spreadsheet and loaded it into the DB.

So not only did it not delete the products, but now at least 3 sub-cat's are correct-ish. (haven't gone thru all of the products yet)

Gonna go get a bottle of asprin...I think I'm gonna need them today.

FRUSTRATING!!!

I've been getting emails from potential customers for the last few days tell me that they can only see a few products under the Lockers & Carrier heading. Heaven only knows how many sales i've missed out on as a result.

Does anyone have a functional SQL query that will delete ALL Categories and Products?

I'd like to wipe the slate clean and upload smaller batches of products. Easier so spot problems that way.

Unbelievable...

I just downloaded a Complete tab-delimited .txt file via the admin area. Followed the instruction in the Wiki article to delete all of the products.

They are still there.......

Here's the latest....

After going the the product spread sheat that was supplied by my vendor i found more errors than you could shake a dead cat at. I spent a lot of time going through it and fixing stuff like product names, image names, assigning the correct manufacture to various products, etc.

Finally felt comfortable with the esults so deleted all of the products on my site and the image files too.

Reloaded the corrected product tab delimited .txt file and reload all of the images.

But I'm still having issues with what's being shown in the Admin>Catalog>Cateroies/Products.

When I go to the category named Axle& Drivetrain/Lockers & Carriers it shows 6 categories, each was the name of the Manufacturer of the items that are supposed to be in that category. i click on the name DETROIT and I can see 10 products...thats it.

When I go to the live site and drill down through the Categories (sidebox) and drill down as follows I'm shown 96 products.
Axle & Drivetrain>Lockers & Carriers>Detroit

Back to the admin area, if I click on EATON I'm shown a list of 10 DETROIT products when there should be 460 Eaton products!!!

0. Make sure Ezpop set up right
1. Basically - wipe out your catelogue - delete in admin.
2. Make 1 Category (place image in main directory - forget about this image) and description.
3. Make 1 product per category, image etc - look at my image help in the post
4. Export your template
5. Open it look at the file structure on the excel - add in stuff as needed - start with only one or two to make sure it's working -then up load the file - I use the top insertion optin.

Note: YOU CANNOT USE THE SAME FILE NAME - I found that sometimes for whatever reason it didn't show the updates.
e.g. if your export file name was filename-01-1500. save your file name as filename-01-1600.

6. Once you have determined that everything is ok - you can then to the same for the rest of your store and then you'll love Ezpop! :hug:

Could not get the products to show up in the right place by simply uploading via EP, no matter how many times i tried.
Finally deleted the affected categories and tried some smaller batches of parts. Once I felt comfortable with the results I re-deleted the categories yet again and did a mass upload from my PC.

All Gooder and Fixered now!!
