Error unable to determine page link PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Hi Guys

I have recently upgraded from 1.39g to 1.3.9h and ever since I have received the following error each time i type in or click on a link to my URL https:https://www.ladymischief.co.uk

ERROR - unable to determine the page link. I have no problem accessing my admin area.

As part of the upgrade, i followed the instructions and replaced the following files:

I have searched the forum and have tried many of the suggested solutions however NOTHING IS HAPPENING!!!!

I feel like I am going round in circles

Check if you have a htaccess file at the base of your account

save it to your local and delete it to see if that might be the issue

Are you using MS Frontpage? Why?

Getting more confused now...... I have typed the file in the path and received the following message " This directory is empty"

I am thinking maybe I should restore my back up files and start the upgrade again - what do you think?

Also, what do you mean by "MS Frontpage" - forgive my ignorance

Why are you typing it into the path??

Get if you do not have one - - a FTP Client and connect to your site and delete it after transferring it to your local PC

your site is there. no need to reinstall. I can see your admin and database error page comes up when this is typed in browser http://www.ladymischief.co.uk/nddbc.html
apache is having a time finding your index.php page.
check the public_html/.htaccess file and post the contents

Sorry, I 'm not explaining myself properly am I ....

In my file manager, I can not find the file public/html/htaccess despite it coming up in the list following my search therefore I typed the above file pathway in my search in file manager and received the message that the directory is empty.

Anyways, if it is the case that there is no such file "htaccess" (as it appears) then does this mean that it could be another problem?

Thanks for your input - I can locate the file when I do a search in public_html hence the list above that the search produces .

I am trying to access the contents so that I can post it however when I double click on the file public_html/.htaccess it just takes me back to the public_html directory????????????????? literally going round in circles......

Kobra, my host is Just host - do you suggest I discuss this with them?

Yes, used fantastico to install orginally however for the recent upgrade I downloaded the upgraded zen to my local computer and just replaced the files that had changed since my previous version in my file manager

Then this is probably why you are having problems...
Best way is that you hopefully have a copy of database BEFORE
you upgraded..then download and install latest version of zencart in new folder....add your copied original database to that.

Yes I see Misty, Makes sense now. Thankfully I backed up my database before I upgraded . I am off to bed now and will tackle this in the morning!!

I will of course post back to let you know how I have got on and also might help some othe poor soul in the future!!

And, as kobra keeps telling you, STOP using the "file manager" from your hosting company. Those are NOTORIOUSLY unreliable!!!!!!!
Use a proper FTP program instead. Something like the free FileZilla would be a good choice. http://filezilla.sf.net

in response to post # 14 you say you can access the admin side. Is your database of product or the included demo product database there ?
