Yet another ADMIN change gone bad...

And now I'm not able to access my Admin area....:shocking:

So I made the cardnial sin of posting a dirct path to my admin folder and need to change the name. I went through the steps in the wiki and downloaded a copy of my CUSTOMADMINFOLDER/ configure.php file and changed the admin folder name as follows.

// * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL)
// these paths are relative to top of your webspace ... (ie: under the public_html or httpdocs folder)
define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/NEWNAMEHERE/');
define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', '/NEWNAMEHERE/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');
And here.
// * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical)
//the following path is a COMPLETE path to your Zen Cart files. eg: /var/www/vhost/accountname/public_html/store/
define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/home/xxxxxxx/public_html/NEWNAMEHERE/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/');FWIW,
The info I quoted above was taken directly from the copy on the host's server and the correct permissions were used (444).

I have renamed the ADMIN folder to match the changes in the configure.php file.

Re: Yet another ADMIN change gone bad...

You meant your CUSTOMADMINFOLDER/includes/configure.php, right ?

What are you seeing - a 404 page ?

Re: Yet another ADMIN change gone bad...

Make sure that you change the permissions on the server for the file:
/NEWNAMEHERE/includes/configure.php

to either 644 or 777 so you can upload the new file ... when set to 444 you cannot overwrite it ...

Then when done, change the permissions back to 444 ... you will probably need to use the filemanager in your Control Panel to set the permission to 444 ...
