Change shipping module just to be a option with no money value
Hi all,
I am currently using v1.3.9h of Zen Cart and have a question regarding the default shipping modules.
Our checkout work as follows:
- The client picks the item he's interested in and ads it to the cart system
- Then he selects the shipping method which in our case is Post Office - Counter 2 Counter, Courier and Store pick up.
- Once he selects checkout we receive his purchase request and then reply on his request with an official company quote with the latest price, our terms, contact information and banking details. Upon acceptance he then pays the money in to our bank account via EFT or Direct Bank Deposit.
The problem is we don't have a value in the shipping modules we are using and once the client reaches the part where he needs to pick his preferred shipping method there is a zero amount displayed next to the option, we don't want the client to get a misperception and maybe think that shipping is free.
Is there a way that we can edit the shipping files of that particular module to not display value in the cart area and only be a shipping option.
The files that was renamed where:
- flat.php was changed to Post Office - Counter to Counter
- item.php was changed to Courier
If you could point me in the right direction as to where I should go and what code I can remove if its that simple. Any advice would be appreciated.
I know the function files for the shipping modules are located in includes/modules/shipping/flat.php or includes/modules/shipping/item.php
Thanks in advance,
Jacques
