Category & Sub Category Keywords

I'm using Zen Cart v1.3.9h and have asked in past for input regarding INDIVIDUAL product keywords and advise given was dead on. Seem to be running in circles with indexing main and sub-categories. Should I be limiting keywords to 8/10 and making sure that meta description has all keywords in them OR, does it matter how many keywords are listed and not used and their are independent of meta descrip?

I rank high on many of my categories in almost all areas, but not always consistently with sub's. Also, anyone else having Yahoo problems with indexing and dragging their feet? They have me listed, but very little. Google has treated me well.

TIA for any assistance.

Not as pertinent as insuring that terms in your meta descrip, are echoed in your human readable descrip

Meta should not have modifiers(adjectives, adverbs, etc) these flower things are for the human readable

Re: Category & Sub Category Keywords

Thanks kobra, I was/am guilty of using adjectives and adverbs. So, if I understand you correctly, everything should be "short, sweet, and directly to the point", right?

Re: Category & Sub Category Keywords

Yahoo is always slow anyway. Google can index in less than 1 minute (tested today).
There are so much blogs and articles about SEO on the web that have information.

Keyword has no value what so ever. 1 or 2 keywords max. Some SEO guys use keyword for misspelled words, adjectives or adult keywords but they all agree it has no value.

Even Meta Description has no value as far as SEO. The only value it serves is to convince the user to visit your site or not (sell yourself to the customer).

Title, Header, Sub-headers, Page Content and on page links are the only things that matter.
