Multiple browsers and safety

I know the instructions say not to look at another site in another tab while having an open admin. Does that also go for a different browser altogether ? Meaning if I am working in my admin in a firefox browser would it be safe or dangerous to listen to online radio in an internet explorer browser ?
I tried searching for an answer but search tells me the words are to common and throws them away. Wish it was a do it anyway button...pow!

Re: Multiple browsers and safety

I dont know any reason why that would be problematic for you.

I listen to my local online radio channel all day in a new popup window.

Re: Multiple browsers and safety

Thanks.
Going over the " how I can protect my site from malicious attack" tutorial #7 says in bold print "do not visit other sites when your site has an active admin session enabled- even in another tab" and it talks about you run the risk of problems.

I am not trying to ignore the tutorial but I like listening to internet radio. I also want to take my security seriously too. I also dont know exactly how browsers work yet and it just seems to me that different browsers wouldnt share information ??. So if somebody thinks using two browsers like this is still asking for problems please speak up and tell me to but another computer for radio use. Thanks everybody
