Products Price nett =gross

I have a problem that, no matter what I do, the Gross price is equal to the nett price.
I have been reading numerous titles, but probably all at the wrong setup.

It is about this site https://www.site4phones.com. Still having all default stuff in it.

Version 1.3.9H

What have I done so far:
Created a Zone:
Netherlands Nederland NL

Zone defenition:
Netherlands Dutch local sales tax zone

Tax Classes
ID Tax Classes
1 19
2 6

Tax Rates
Priority Tax Class Zone Tax Rate Description:
0 19 Netherlands 19% BTW 19.0%

Product Types
Product - General
Edit Layout
Product Price Tax Class Default - When adding new products? 1

When I add a new article, And choose Tax Class 19 and add under Nett a price of 100, I would expect a price of 119 under gross, but Gross also takes the price equal to 100.

I do not know where I have to do a setting, so it becomes 119 under Gross.

Under your Zone Definitions check the DETAILS to ensure that it is setup for the right Country and Zone ...

If you change the Priority from 0 to 1 does it correct the problem?

Changing the priority from 0 to 1 does not change anything.

I have checked the Zone Definition and the details.
I do not see anything strange there.

I tried to change under Zone; Nederland into Netherlands, as the installation is an English one. But that does not help either.

On your currency, which is the default currency and what are the settings?

I see the taxes added when I enter an address from the Netherlands in the checkout ...

I think we would like to see the prices inclusive the Taxes.
Normally it is so, that the currency in Europe is , for cents and . for thousands. but this the oposite.

I have checked the status:
Display Prices with Tax false
Display Prices with Tax in Admin false

I have tried to make it true and see the difference.
At the customer level I do not see any difference between false or true.
It is the same for the Admin part.

But now this text for sales tax is being displayed:
Sales Tax: €0.00
But no value is calculated.
Which is probably due by changing the value from 0 into 1 on this row:
Sales Tax Display Status 1

I missed these language files after installing.
And I copied them from another installation to this directory:
/includes/languages

Here it is.

I have been reading your answers for the Xth time. I have done every thing you offered.
Then I thought, lets play stupid, and do something unlogic.
I went in to Zone Definitions of Taxes.
Clicked on detail. Where it states Country and Zone, I had checked:
Country: Netherlands
Zone: Netherlands.

I have changed the Zone into "All Zones". That did do the trick.

I understand a bit, why, but not completely.
I bought stuff as a Dutch person, and I would expect to see the Dutch Tax price. That the admin part showes something different, is perhaps because I installed the English version?

So it functions... but I tried to change the Zone under My Store... which was empty and changed it in Netherlands.

Everything still works fine under the Admin.
Net + vat = gross.

But at the customers part.... the VAT has gone in the prices.
When I order, I see in the invioce that VAT has been counted.
But the total amouns is exclusive the VAT again.

So I guess, I have to empty the Zone under My Store, but I have no idea how to do that.

Changed Basis of Product Tax Shipping

I had that set to Store.
The invoice looks a bit strange... but it works.
Sub total is inclusive the the VAT.

I have encountered the same problem and found your posting very helpful.
But shouldn't VAT be added to shippig as well? I am fighting with this one :(
Any ideas how to achieve that?
