Customer Accounts

I just installed 1.3.9h and when I look at the index page of the store, I don't see where a customer can set up an account.

Is there a place in the admin that maybe I removed the account required or something? I want them to be required to purchase from the store. It's just not on the store front anyplace.

Also I just noticed there is no add to cart button.....

Sorry, I forgot to add the link. I can find the registration link in the sitemap but
not on the front page where people would see the register account or sign in.

The no add to cart button, I found the fix for that.

If you click on the log in link, you'll see the registration page.
