Question about 'validating' site with W3C Markup

I came across this site

http://validator.w3.org/

and thought that it would not hurt to fix the errors that it has found.

What I do not know is how to find the correct file for fixing each error. For example, his site would give me the location of error like this:

Line 83, Column 17: there is no attribute "name"

But since there is no single ONE html file, I do not know where I should be looking for that line 83 column 17.

Aren't all files on zen cart php files that are all separated for their purposes..? Or is there indeed this one single html file that should have all the information?

Please help!

Re: Question about 'validating' site with W3C Markup

Line 83, Column 17 refers to the html created for the page in question
Even though ZenCart is php, the WWW still displays only html

Could you supply the error messages? That tells a lot if you know what it is saying.
Zen Cart files should produce valid XHTML. Most errors would come from hard coding you may have done or mods that are poorly written.

Re: Question about 'validating' site with W3C Markup

I use Firebug to look at the offending part of the (generated) html then use the nearest (same line if possible) id or class mentioned in the code as a reference and search for that in the templates.
