A couple issues with my Paypal account

I have a Paypal account. Now I am setting it up to work with my website. I am not able to find the "automatic return url" setup page along with the "install Paypal Standard Support" setting.

I set up a test product and set the price at 1 cent. I made the purchase and recieved my comfirmation email but there is no deposit or withdrawl in Paypal.

Do you have one account for your shop AND a different one used for purchasing?

You can not buy from yourself using the same account

I am not able to find the "automatic return url" setup page along with the "install Paypal Standard Support" setting. You really should be using Express Checkout instead of "Standard". See http://www.zen-cart.com/getpaypal for setup instructions.

If you insist on using "Standard" for some reason, the setup instructions and the very long list of troubleshooting requirements are found here: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/PayPal

Sounds like you didn't actually checkout using PayPal at all. Maybe you've got an old "check/money-order" module enabled? Or an old "credit card" module enabled, and the payment is actually being handled by that?

What are all the modules with a green or yellow dot in Admin->modules->Payment? and why?

In Admin->Customers->Orders, you'll see your list of orders placed. In the 2nd column is the name of the payment and shipping modules applied to each order. What's listed as the payment module for the order you placed?

What version of Zen Cart?

Re: A couple issues with my Paypal account

I followed the instructions on Paypal as such...

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click Profile near the top of the page.
  3. Click My settings under My Profile.
  4. Click Upgrade my account in the Account type section.
  5. Click Upgrade Now.
  6. Select Business Account.
  7. Enter your business information and click Submit.

When I got to #4 I saw the "upgrade" section but the only option available was "cancel" my present Premier account. I'm serious. Thats all there is. I may need to call Paypal.
Anyone know why I do not have an "upgrade" option?

Re: A couple issues with my Paypal account

You don't need to upgrade from Premier to Business. Either will work fine for accepting payments. Not sure why you're even trying to upgrade it.

Re: A couple issues with my Paypal account

Apologies. We'll address that documentation issue.

A Premier account should work just fine for accepting payments.
