adding corner ssl trust logo screws up width of site

i currently have my site set up at 960px centered.

i added the corner trust logo from comodo. what happens is NOW that it is added, the screen is scrollable left to right because it screws up the store width of 960px.

here is the code added.

in html_header.php

2048 Bit SSL Certificate

in tpl_main_page.php

here is the css shown in firebug

  • html {
    background: url("http://www.trustlogo.com/images/cot_bgf0.gif") repeat fixed right bottom transparent;
    }
    #cot_tl_fixed {
    bottom: 0;
    position: fixed;
    right: 0;
    }
    #cot_tl_pop {
    background-color: transparent;
    bottom: 20px;
    height: 194px;
    overflow: hidden;
    position: fixed;
    right: 120px;
    visibility: hidden;
    width: 244px;
    z-index: 100;
    }

tlfixed is for the corner logo, tlpop is for when you click on it and a pop up shows which i am not concerned about.

attached is a screen sshot

you can see now there is a scroll bar since the screen is widened now.

Re: adding corner ssl trust logo screws up width of site

I believe you want it in the bottom right corner of the screen, not the site.
Change tpl_main_page.php to this:

2048 Bit SSL Certificate

Notice the div tags...
Make sure this code is placed before mainWrapper div.

Now, edit your stylesheet.css and add:

#cornerLogo{position:fixed;bottom:0;right:0;}

Did you reload the page? Try pressing CTRL+R on your keyboard, it's most likely that your browser is using the old css file from cache. Or, clear your cache...

Feel free to PM me a link to your site and I'll take a look.
