HOw do I add a product image? Really confused!

I've been reading a bunch of posts on this but I cannot seem to figure out how to actually upload an image for a product.

I have used the upload button at the bottom of the Product edit page but to no avail. Some times the product becomes "disabled" after adding the image. Or at least trying to add the image.

I read that I may have to use FTP to move the images to the correct folder, but this i snot an option for my client. She needs to be able to upload the image directly in the product edit screen.

I've tried using the other folders in the images folder and nothing seems to work. Is there a setting I am missing? Or is this just the way Zen Cart is set up?

It works by default as browsing to the image on your local and uploads it

If yours is not you have something wrong

Just fixed it, but it is strange....

I had to place the image into a folder in the /images/ folder to be able to upload it. The same image could not be uploaded from my development folder on my PC. Not in the localhost.

Is this the correct way? Seems I should be able to upload from any folder anywhere on my PC. Is it different on a "live" server? Could this be due to working locally?

Just know that it works on a live server from your local station
