Remove dots in Browse button

I have an upload file attribute and the Browse button on the product info page displays "Browse..." how can I remove the 3 dots so it just says "Browse"?

Thank you in advance for any help/advice.

Regards,

Re: Remove dots in Browse button

The attribute is in question is displayed in the side box products. The attributes there are called just like on a product info page.

Re: Remove dots in Browse button

What i did is viewed the page source and found the section where the button is placed.. It is a image actually.

</div> </div> <br class="clearBoth" /><div class=""> <h5 class="optionName back"><label class="attribsUploads" for="attrib-3-0">Upload Image:</label></h5> <div class=""><input type="file" size="10" name="id[txt_3]" id="attrib-3-0" /><br /> <input type="hidden" name="upload_1" value="3" /> <input type="hidden" name="txt_upload_1" /> </div>

Notice the highlighted red font above..
Try this:

admin panel/ tools/ developers tool kit

search for:
txt_upload_1

Re: Remove dots in Browse button

Maybe this would be an easier request. Im simply using the built in text/file attribute and it displays a grey 'Browse' button, is there a way to change it so I can use an image instead, for eg. add a 'includes\languages\english\button_names.php' so the standard browser 'Browse' button can be replaced by an image such as 'browse.png'.
Or maybe there is a value in a file relating specifically to attributes that i can add a line of code to tell it to point to the image instead of using the standard browser button.

Re: Remove dots in Browse button

This upload file attribute was added to your sideboxes, so I would look in your modules/sideboxes folder where the code is being called from.

most input button names are defined in the action form code. No way to change this to an image till we know where the code is coming from.

Re: Remove dots in Browse button

If I may offer an observation: the three dots indicate that a dialog box will pop up, for choosing the file to upload. That's been a standard part of GUIs since the mid 1980s and messing with it will only confuse people. I for one wouldn't know what a Browse button was for, but Browse... tells me exactly what to expect.
