Clearly I have messed up somewhere - shipping

So I tried Zone Rates, set the table up like this and cannot get a price for anywhere except US:

So I switched off Zones and I tried USPS with a valid production server and get:

We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance.
(Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)

I tried USA and UK addresses.

Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong?

What you posted appears to be shipping module settings???

Did you create the zones?

I created 5 Zones in Zone Definitions and added the ISO codes in each:

Odd! I have used the USPS setup in the past without problems but not for a while now.

Hard to determine exactly BUT

I believe that you have crossed up making a US zone and then individual state zones if that is what you did???

Need to look at what you have for Zone Definitions > for each

The state setup which I suspect is for tax would be in Tax Rates

I set up 1 state zone for NJ for tax but here is the content of the other zones:

Is the status indicator green for all of these in Zone Definitions?

When you are testing for Zone Rates zones in your first post, what weight did you test?

When you were testing for USPS, have you installed the January 2, 2011 C version from post #26 of:

and followed the instructions?

Haven't installed an update for USPS; was it not part of the 1.39h upgrade?

NOTE: United Kingdom should be GB not UK on the Zone Rates zones settings

Did you mean to set the rate on Zone 3 and 4 for 10lbs to be $130.00?

Are you only quoting to 7-14lbs on these Zone Rates? Anything beyond what is set will read:

Zone Rates (The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time) $0.00

What are your Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging settings?

I only sell t-shirts so chances are the orders will be less than 5lbs unless someone is ordering in bulk :)

kobra found me a solution:

in Localization>Tax Rates: Click New Tax Rate and create an entry that matches your Zone 1 settings

So mine read:

Taxable Goods
Zone 1
Tax Rate 0%
All US

I ignored the Priority Box.

My Zone 2 is Canada so I did the same as above but entered:

Taxable Goods
Zone 2
Tax Rate 0%
Canada.

You need to do this for however many Zones you have set up.

The key is to make sure that all your Zones show a Green dot when you look in:
