Product items disappeared from order, Nochex

Products have disappeared from orders. So, orders have correct sub-total and postage details, but just no links to products!
Not 100% sure they were ever there. One possible cause: email notifications were misconfigured. I've fixed this now.

I'm unable to reproduce, newer orders seem to be okay. Could email notifications failing have caused this? We've managed to cope with a couple of order with missing items, but it'll be a problem if there are more.

Any clues/ideas would be appreciated.

Using Zen Cart 1.3.9h, never upgraded.
Add-ons: Royal Mail (latest paid-for support version), Nochex APC, Google Base Feeder. All installed in last 2 months.
Some small customisations for L&F but only cosmetic, switching off panels and so on (quite minimal).

We have this problem too.

Installed 1.3.9h over the weekend (New install not upgrade, imported 1.3.8 database and converted).

PayPal orders ok, NoChex orders have no items but do have totals.

Items are shown in the NoChex record but don't have information on size/colour attributes etc.

Ok, I know this is an oldish thread but another one here with the same issue. Yet again this only showed up after upgrading to 1.3.9h from 1.3.8.

I have contacted NoChex support as the mod is made by them and will update if I get a reply.
