Help needed to get my files off my host servers

I have a problem. My shop is hosted on a server owned by a person that I am no longer in contact with. I can still log on to the server and change my stock but I want to host my shop on a new server. Is it possible to locate my server details in Db admin as I would like to backup my store and save all my hard work.

Please help if you can

A reputable host can easily transfer your site for you as long as you request the transfer prior to waving by to the current host.
Most will do this for free.
Certified Hosts are linked at the top of the page and others are available as well.
Just because Zen Cart is free doesn't mean it should be hosted for little or nothing. You will find MANY posts on this forum where someone has problems with a low-cost host.

I am going to host the site with Go Daddy. The problem is I cannot log onto the current host servers with password / account details. I have fallen out with the person who has control over the host.

might be an idea to check out godaddy on these forums first,

so the only thing you can log into is the store admin?
no ftp access and no db(cpanel & phpadmin) access?

if you have ftp access and database access surely you can download all your files and make a database backup?
thats basicaly all you need to transfer your site

I need to put a copy of mysql backup on the host server i think as my admin does support backup. maybe I am missing something.

If you have ftp access and phpadmin access to your database you effectivly have all the server access you need, normally when you a mysql backup you will be given the option to download the file or save it to your server, if you save it to your server you should be able to access it by ftp?

so if I download mysql backup from zen cart I should have an option to save to server. Thanks I will give it a try.

Dont do that! Try xxxxxxx. great servers tweaked just for zencarts and like. They'll help you get off your current server too!

Wow my last post is almost pointless now that the mod removed half of my point. I've seen mentions of other hosting companies here so I'm not really sure what the problem is. Sorry I can't tell you where we host, but I wouldn't go with godaddy!
