Coupon and Shipping with VAT issues 1.3.9h
Hi, been searching through the posts but still not found the solution, although have found my files contain the bugfixes that have been posted previously.
using 1.3.9h.
Setup is:
shipping price includes vat
all prices displayed with vat
10% discount coupon
coupon admin setup:
include shipping, false;
include VAT, false;
recalc, standard;
tax class, VAT (20%)
Go to checkout:
Sub-Total: £349.30
Royal Mail **special**delivery next day (Great Britain & Northern Ireland only):£22.08
Discount Coupon:-£34.56
Total:£336.82
Very strange as the discount should be just a straight 34.93 , so we are 37p short.....not such a prob for me, but you jnow what customers are like!
It must be related to the shipping somehow, as if i go for free shipping option during checkout it works fine!
Sub-Total: £349.30
Discount Coupon:-£34.93
Total:£314.37
Which means that when shipping is enabled the calc is doing some very funny things as explained below where I beleive the 37p is derived from:
10% of the shipping cost is 2.208
vat content = 2.208 - (2.208/1.2)
The vat content of 2.208 is 37p (if rounding up to 2.21)
So the calculation is taking 10% of the value of the shipping cost, then calculating the vat content of that value, then deducting it from the value of the coupon!
Any ideas?????
