Learning Curve: What should I do next?

I've spent about a year learning CSS in relation to ZC and would like to improve on my weaknesses which are pretty much everything. What would the next best thing be, to advance further? Should I start learning php, javascripts or jquery, or anything else?

Php would probably be the most useful.
