how do I add a background image BEHIND?

I would like to add a background image behind my hole store. Not in the columns and header, but behind the store. I made me store 900 pixels wide and would like to add a wood background for the excess space.

The rule that controls the space outside the store header/columns will generally be
#body {}
so put your background styling in that.

#body {background: #aabbcc url(../images/yourwoodimage.gif)}

Wonderful...sort of...I see my background (I placed it in #mainWrapper as you suggested)...but it is INSIDE my main body window.

Help?

Thank you that worked. I originally had it there, but just forgot to add ../ to where my image was located! Duh!:P
