Changing text makes page go blank

Hey,
i just installed the same zen cart,classic and am having the same problem.
i am able to get into the index.php but when i change the text to somthing diferent my page goes blank.
i have tried almos a whole day but it's the same blank page.

why does the text message work with this code ,define('HEADING_TITLE', 'This is my new line.');

but does not work with this code
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'where the pro's go');

To edit the files on your PC for customizing, you will need a text editor. A good free one with syntax highlighting is Crimson Editor or Notepad++.

got my own answer
it doesn't like the pro's,the upper sign it works fine without it.
so how do i make it work pro's?

What text editor are you using then, to make changes to the .php files??

ZYou need to "escape" the apostrophe with a backslash, i.e. enter it as:
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'where the pro's go');However, a more general piece of advice on forum etiquette, dredging up a five year old forum thread and then taking it off in an unrelated direction won't win you many friends from those who like a well-ordered forum. if you have a new question, I recommend starting a new thread.
