How do I add the block that changes between graphics?

I have seen on a lot of websites they have a main block in the middle of the page that automatically changes between a few different pictures. You can also change the current picture yourself by clicking the little dot in the corner. Kind of like this: http://www.tv.com/

How would I go about adding this?

Thanks it works. I am not sure how I can make it so it appears above the define_main_page.php part. At the moment I have added it into that page. I only want it to appear on the homepage and this is the only way I know. I would prefer it if it was above the define_main_page.php block instead.
