In the Zen v.1.3.9h folder of templates / templates-default/buttons/english the button to add to cart is called "button_add_to_cart.gif"
I did as you suggested: created a button for tell a friend and it loaded and it shows up!!!!! see here: http://pregnantearth.com/NEW_ART_STORE/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=1
So this begs the question: do I have the correct file names?

Thanks for your patience .... and assistance. It is not clear to me why this "tell a friend" button shows up and the "add cart" and "search" buttons don't (they're the two I've created created and am testing.)
Any enlightenment on this?
