For me HTML doesen't work for all emails (problem with bulgarian lang pack)

I have a similar probem!

For me HTML doesen't work for all emails!!!

Email Admin Format is HTML

Please help!

I'm running 1.3.9h

Emails will not arrive in HTML format unless the recipient has a customer account in your store AND has set their email-receiving preferences to HTML.

Recipient has an account, or in the creation of account e-mail "Greeting e-mail" he has already selected preferences to HTML!

Still no HTML ?!

What are all your settings under Admin->Configuration->Email Options?

Two things:

1. Sometimes email servers refuse the HTML section of messages when sending using the "PHP" transport, because the sender hasn't authenticated. Changing to SMTPAUTH and setting your SMTP settings at the bottom of the list of settings on that same screen causes it to send authenticated messages, which are much less likely to be rejected.

2. I see you've started several other posts on the topic of trying to force HTML into the email message text. However, in order to protect the non-HTML messages from displaying HTML markup code for people who have text-only email clients, that HTML is often stripped out in favor of using the HTML email templates for that content instead.
   Since your posts above seem to be oriented around the Welcome email, it's unclear to me whether you're simply looking for some HTML tags to follow from your language file into your welcome email, or if your problem is really about emails not arriving with the HTML section included in them alongside the text-only section which all messages will contain.

I'm sorry for the multipe posts, but I'm getting really frostrated!

1. Unfortunately SMTP and SMTPAUTH don't worl for me for some reason! Actually none of the othret e-mail transport methods doesn't work! I can only send e-mails via PHP

2. I''m reaizing that I have a problem with all e-mails! Not only the Welcome one!

Sounds like a problem you need to sort out with your hosting company.

I spoke to my hosting company!

They said that the only way I will be able to send e-mails is trough PHP...

They said that the HTML issue could be fixed by adding some "Code to the header" or something ike that... that lets e-mail servers know that it's html!

Any ideas?

As I said already, when you've told Zen Cart to send in HTML format, it automatically adds the HTML section to the emails.
If the HTML section isn't arriving, then it's because the email server (hosting company) stripped it off.

My hosting company sais that it's not a problem with them!

Is there anithyng else that I can tweak to make it work or is it 100% hosting problem and I should yell at them?!

I just realized that when i view the Welcom e-mail by selecting admin>tools>welcome e-mail

On the top of the page a red warning bar apperas wit the text "header" !!!

Maybe a problem in the above mentioned html header in the e-mail???

I can't see the emails you're complaining about.

Maybe you can post an actual full email including all the raw HTML markup and all the email headers, so I can look at them?

Where can i find the HTML headers?

And one other thing when using the same mail account trough Outlook i can send eddited text( Colored letters, different sizes, images and so on...) Does that exclude that the problem could be with my hosting company?

!!! "View source" option isn't available for all my messages sent from the store

I need to see the various content-type headers from the emails sent from your store.
Emails from anyplace else aren't useful except marginally for comparison, and even then not relevant to the problem you're alleging.

Outlook doesen't let me view the source for those e-mails!!!

Maybe because they are plain text?!

What part of zen-cart controls the headers of e-mails... if you tell me the file i'll copy the content here!

This isn't a matter of copying content out of Zen Cart.

I'm pretty certain that Zen Cart is preparing the emails just fine, and it's the email servers between your webserver and your email account that are mangling things.

Did you turn on email archiving and use the archive viewer to see what's in there, like the wiki article instructs?

Yep i did the e-mail archive thing but forgot to look at it...

When i "click preview msg" button on the sent e-mail it appears like this:

Note: The italic part of the text is some e-mail text that is added to all my e-mails(a zen cart thing that i have to configure!

I'm totally confused... from the </br> tags it would seem that the message is HTML or am i wrong? If it's html why is it so messed up?
