Need help, regarding download based store...

Hello I'm experienced with zen-cart, but never used it for content delivery.

I require zen-cart to be able to deliver a .pdf once the customer has paid.

I know this is possible, what I need to know is, who has setup or managed a content delivery zen-cart site as I will have questions and need to know who I can turn to :hug:

Do you think zen-cart could cope with a site where you pay to view something?

I really could do with the site displaying a file on the site so that the purchased file can only be viewed on the site and not downloaded...

No, I don't.

If I can view a file on your site, I can (in fact, I already have) downloaded it.

Give us a little more info about exactly what you're trying to do and we might be able to suggest something. If the whole point is to prevent paying customers from sharing your files with others, that train left the station years ago.

Couldn't care less if they shared it with the globe.

What I'm trying to achieve is a way to have pay to view content.

In this case, ask question, get answer.

The answer would most likely be in pdf form, it just would be great if the info was then displayed instead of offered as a download link.

In the my account section instead of a download link, a view file page, the data would then be loaded into the page from a text file using the download system.

Yeah it isn't an easy one, I know that page can be made to load with content from a text file, but making it load from a download link, in theory it is doable, but would need someone with knowledge to advise.

If the download file was just a txt file, in theory a page could be coded to display the content from the text file.

The download link would be the source for the txt document that would then be loaded onto the page.
