Okies, I have been doing some work on the store today, of which the latest project was getting captcha to work. This is my second store and i thought i remembered what to do for captcha to work.

I've installed the .sql file into the admin area, i've uploaded the images and other important files.

but now i can't log in. When i enter a known user into the login screen, it "refreshes" the page but doesn't actually log me in.

I'm at a loss of what's happened or where to start... I am not sure if its a captcha problem or if it's something else i might have worked on earlier.... just when you think everything is going so well....

EDIT: I did make the change over to SSL this morning and made some changes to logo links in the navheader.... but don't believe that's related.

I always load modules on a test site first for safety and practice ..

yah... You'd think that because this is my second site i would know better... One of these days i'll build a test server for this stuff. I'm just lucky i haven't gotten an empty white screen.

Everything else i am doing, i'll make copies of the modified files incase it doesn't work. but this is the first time i've added a module and it hasn't gone according to plan.

I'm not sure if it's not pulling the custom template files up properly or if something else is buggered.

EDIT: nothing in the cache except (.httpaccess and index.php)

Hmm it looks like it doesn't refresh the page, but simply dump me back to the login page expecting me to fill in the returning customer information again.

It doesn't seem to be showing the captcha graphics which may be the problem. Just random thoughts.

did you use WinMerge and carefully munge the coding from the Capcha to your site .php files???

You just can't dump the files over because if the version of Capcha was written for a version of zen cart like 138 and you are using 139h, updated coding may be the issue..

No, i did not use winmerge or do any munging...

The readme (which is a disater to read... but thats for another posting) said it was for zencart 1.39.

Carefully back out all the files you have loaded and reload the zen cart .php back to their original place...

Then start over again and Use WinMerge and do it correctly..

Ahh sorry my mistake. The actual captcha is from "CAPTCHA Anti-Robot Registration" which is for v.139

I got Paul drain from the readme file...

Well, i believe i have solved one of my problems. :) I believe the page refreshing itself was an inherit problem with one of the previous changes i must have made earlier today and didn't even catch it!

I changed the both configure.php files to show https://www.proxdesigns.com instead of proxdesigns.com for all the entries. not sure what i was thinking there.

That solves the login issue. Now, all i have to do is get the captcha code to display on the login screen. I believe there is a thread in the support forum for that.
