TruBlu template help please

Hello, I'm a newbie..got my zencart yesterday...my host which is hostgator ended up having to install the pink boutique for me..my ftp kept stopping..so this morning, got up got new ftp and downloaded TruBlu into the public_html, includes,template file..when I go log in and go to tools to change it..its not there.

Please can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong.

most templates are packaged so they can be placed in the public html folder, usually because a template can contain files that do not go into the includes/templates directory so as a rule of thumb:

open the package you downloaded on your pc

you should see several files and folders usually a readme file (instructions) and a "includes" folder

Depending on the template the includes folder may contain several other files and folders,

BACK UP YOUR SITE and then:

in your ftp ... select the "includes" folder and upload it to the root of your site.. "Public-html" (or if you have your store in a sub folder called store, "public-html/store")

The ftp will now auto place all the files in their intended directories..

Job done.. go to admin and select your template:smile:

I guess so I can edit the top part of the page.

change that to whatever the template you are using is called eg trublue?
but!

define_main_page.php... can be edited from the Admin in tools>define pages editor

and also

if its the header of the page you need to change you will need a differentt file depending on exactly what it is you are trying to do

Ok I changed it back to the basic green..if you look here lilbeesimages.com ...I need to change the top zencart and header thingy..you know to make mine..down at bottom it says all of this can be done in the file so where do I find that file to change it? do I need a certain program to do it in and if so what do you recommend?
