Desperate! Local delivery conundrum!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I’m trying to find a shopping cart that will support a unique (as far as I know) shipping method. We do local deliveries in bulk. So, if the customer orders 2 yards of mulch and 3 tons of stone; they can get it – but it’s two different delivery charges (as they are delivered separately).
My issue right now is that I can charge shipping per item, however, an “item” is considered one of anything. So if you get 5 of the same thing – you’re charged 5 deliveries regardless of what the actual product is, OR you’re charged a flat rate regardless of the amount of different products ordered.
Does that make sense? Did I explain that OK?
This is driving me crazy, because I know other companies have this type of delivery dynamic – but I cannot, for the life of me, find a company like mine that has an e-commerce site that works :P
