I cant get this to show tweets either..

More info....I am using Zencart 1.5.1 and twitter sidebox cache 1.3.9.

Yes I applied that....cleared browser cache...then about an hour later tweets sowed up... The next day no tweets showing again..tried clearing browser cache still no tweets? Sorry I am new to this...is this how it should work?

Well, it is correct that it takes a while before the first tweets show, that indicates that the cache works. You can speed that up if you like by refreshing the cache manually by adding ?refresh_twitter_cache to your url.

But the tweets should not disappear, no idea (yet) where that comes from :huh:

Today I noticed some connection errors are not handled correctly by the mod (which might explain some of the reported incidental problems), and also found a fix for it.

I hope I will find the time to update soon, of course the api url correction will then be included.

New version attached to this post (will be moved to the Zen Cart Plugins section later).

  Now the cache should be used (and not overwritten, as before) whenever the Twitter response is not 200.

• Previously the timeout setting only worked when the connection to Twitter failed, now the same timeout is used to abort an update when the connection succeeds but the Twitter response fails or lags

• Error responses are logged

• Automated character set conversion (ISO-8859-1,UTF-8).

• Fixed api url setting

Help. I am still working my way through zencart and getting to grips with it but am struggling to get my Twitter feed to work. I am posting feeds on twitter but they are not coming through on my site bikeporn.co.uk. Any thought or help as to why this is not working would be appreciated

Maybe I should document the cache feature better? I just manually refreshed your cache (by adding ?refresh_twitter_cache to the url) and I see a tweet :-)

Thats great :D. Not sure I understand this as I was clearing my browser cache. Does this mean I will have to manually refresh it every time I want new tweets to come through?

where do I start on this? I downloaded the Twitter Side Box for 1.5 and have the files. I had someone design baystatetoolsupply.com and don't know where to place it or how to place it

I was getting this until I uploadded the new version. However now I get One minuto ago, 5 days ago, 6 days ago etc - shouldn't I be seeing the tweets? They are in the cache file...

The mod seems to be working and I can read tweets in the cache file but they don't appear in the sidebox. I only get links with the number of days ago tweets were posted. Help gratefully received.

Finally got this working - removed this from functions/extra_functions/twitter_cached_sidebox.php:
