Different column for different product type in product display.

Hello All,

I am really stuck up in a matter. My products are shown in grid(column) view but what i want is display Black color products in 1st column, blue color products in second column and white color products in 3rd column, with price sorting in each column from high to low price. Color attribute is already there in the database so i don't need to add the color attribute. I really need help on immediate basis and all your help will really be appreciated.
Kindly let me know about the files i need to edit + code.

The easiest and fastest way to do this is to use the product SORT ORDER feature.

You have THREE columns, right?

You want BLACK in the first column.
You want BLUE in the second column.
You want WHITE in the third column.

Then you want them SORTED by price.

SO...

Your CHEAPEST BLACK product will have sort order 1.
Your CHEAPEST BLUE product will have sort order 2.
Your CHEAPEST WHITE product will have sort order 3.

Your NEXT CHEAPEST BLACK product will have sort order 4.
Your NEXT CHEAPEST BLUE product will have sort order 5.
Your NEXT CHEAPEST WHITE product will have sort order 6.

Your THIRD CHEAPEST BLACK product will have sort order 7.
Your THIRD CHEAPEST BLUE product will have sort order 8.
Your THIRD CHEAPEST WHITE product will have sort order 9.

Your FOURTH CHEAPEST BLACK product will have sort order 10.
Your FOURTH CHEAPEST BLUE product will have sort order 11.
Your FOURTH CHEAPEST WHITE product will have sort order 12.

... and so on...
