Attributes don't alter price and Remove Discounts when added to cart

So here is the issue When I add an Attribute with a + 20.00 to an item regardless of the conditions it will not add the 20.00 in the cart. In fact it shows full price with no sale discount and no 20.00 addition. I have salemaker setup to show 40% off to all users. We are using online group pricing module to allow for a wholesale group at 50% off. I have tried all three salekmaker options and all of the attribute conditions and no combination seams to be working. If I am logged in as a wholesale user and set the Apply Discounts Used by Product Special/Sale: to yes it shows the attribute in the price discounted but removes it when you add to cart. If I am a retail user logged in not logged in it does not show the attribute added to the price regardless of condition and when you add the item to the cart it puts it in the cart at full price with no discount. I am stumped.

On the Option Name ... what is the Option Type that you used?

Keep in mind that READONLY is just that ... a READONLY Attribute and not one for adding to the cart ...

OK, So i should have tried the type options to get it to apply the attribute additions. Changing it worked for getting it to add the 20.00 to the model B30X40BG-B. The issue is that it does not retain the salemaker 40% off in the cart then add the 20.00 which is an issue. Any ideas..... The overall result I need is for anyone who goes to the site or signs up for an account should see and get the 40% off. Current wholesale customers will be changed to wholesale once they establish a web account..... The Attribute is to add a handling charge for oversize objects to cover the shipping because we have to us table rates.

What happens if you switch to the Classic Template?

I am trying to rule out if something is out of date on your v1.3.9c version ... I have not repeated the issue on a clean v1.3.9h ...

Clean install v1.3.9h with salemaker set for a 40% discount. I added the atttribute Handling Surcharge onetime $20.00. As soon as i add it to the cart it drops the 40% discount off and loses it. This is with no modules. I have tried just plus 20.00 and all of the options on and off no go. If i set Apply Discounts Used by Product Special/Sale: to yes it discounts the +20.00 but not the main product. This seams like a bug I would be happy to send the admin login to the http://dev.qualityart.biz site the clean install so someone can check my results i am stumped and this is an important feature.... You can go to http://dev.qualityart.biz and create an account and see that it drops the salemaker discount.

With wholesale it discounts everything 50% including the onetime which i dont want....

Your Product has a Price so it should not be marked as Priced by Attribute ...

The Onetime Attribute should be marked:
Apply Discounts Used
by Product Special/Sale: NO

if you do not want to have that discounted ...

Thank you so much for your help thus far. If i set it so the Priced by Attribute is off it works just fine for customers who do not have a pricing group. I am using online group pricing to set discounts on all items for wholesale customers. Is there a way to get it not to apply the group pricing discount to the attribute..... ie right now if i give the customer the setting of wholesale group it replaces the 40% off for everyone with 50% off for the wholesale group but it then discounts the attribute with 50% off even though it is set with The Onetime Attribute marked:
Apply Discounts Used by Product Special/Sale: NO

This is my hurdle.... is there an issue with the mod...

I do not know if there is anything you can do with the Group Pricing Add On to change how it functions with Attributes ...

Thank You for your help I posted in the OGP thread and the latest developer figured it out for me. Here is another question regarding attributes. I want each item to receive a non discounted charge how do i affect that. So item X will always have a 20.00 per item charge with it for handling if they order it best way and 30.00 if they order it 3day. so if they order 5 of the item the charge will be 100.00 extra best way..

I do not understand your question ...

You want the $20.00 without the discount and it already does that ...

If you want a choice of the $30.00 add a new Option Name and set it up the same way ...

Now the customer picks one or the other and they do not have the discount ...

Right I have it setup that way now in the real cart. But it only charges the 20.00 for the 5 items whereas i need it to charge 100.00 for five items 20.00 handling charge X 5 items.

You need to use the regular Attribute Price and not the One Time Charge if you want the per quantity charge ... the One Time charge is a One Time charge on the Product that is not multiplied by the quantity ordered ...

I have installed Group Price per item v1.3.3 and zencart 1.3.8a. All group prices works correct at the checkout process until i added some attributes by items recently.

I set discounts per item for each group, (customers->group pricing->discount per item), then I entered the actual dollar for each group at product setup. Example, Product ABC, regular price $100, 'discount group 1' price $90, there are 2 attributes, (option 1 +$5), (option 2, +$10), 'discount group 2' price $80 etc.

I have assigned my own login ID to customer 'discount group 1'. Before, this product has no attributes, so when I check out, I see $90 unit price and completed the order no problem. Now (after I add attributes in Admin), and login again myself as a customer, pick the same item and choose option1, the cart shows $105 instead of $95. This has annoyed me for 2 days:frusty:

Do you have any idea on how to fix it?
