body background image in popup windows

I have a repeating background image set in the stylesheet for the body and it is also showing up as the background in the popup windows such as the Help and Search and it's difficult to read. It appears to me that my popup windows code in the stylesheet show white as the background color so why is my body style overriding this?
#popupShippingEstimator, #popupSearchHelp, #popupAdditionalImage, #popupImage, #popupCVVHelp, #popupCouponHelp, #popupAtrribsQuantityPricesHelp, #infoShoppingCart {
background-color: #ffffff;
}

Here is the body styles
body {
margin: 0;
font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
color: #000000;
background: #ffd2dc url(../images/pink143a.jpg) repeat;
}

always where possible post a link to your site, so we can see the issue ourselves, as it is a heck of a lot easier to fix a css problem if you can actually see it.

having said that the simplest thing to do would be something like, just make a white gif and try something like this

#popupShippingEstimator, #popupSearchHelp, #popupAdditionalImage, #popupImage, #popupCVVHelp, #popupCouponHelp, #popupAtrribsQuantityPricesHelp, #infoShoppingCart {
background: #fff url(../images/white.gif) repeat;
}

Yes, Nigel's solution is the way to go.

The white .gif worked. Thanks.
