Where to get rid of parentheses in attribute prices?

The prices per unit show up with annoying, useless parentheses on the product page, for example

price for 3 months ( +$240.00 )

Are the parentheses necessary? How can I get rid of them?

If you look in your languages files you will see the:

define('ATTRIBUTES_PRICE_DELIMITER_PREFIX', ' ( ');
define('ATTRIBUTES_PRICE_DELIMITER_SUFFIX', ' )');
define('ATTRIBUTES_WEIGHT_DELIMITER_PREFIX', ' (');
define('ATTRIBUTES_WEIGHT_DELIMITER_SUFFIX', ') ');

Using your templates and overrides, you can change these ...

To find the files that use these constants, go to the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... and in the bottom input box enter:
ATTRIBUTES_PRICE_DELIMITER_PREFIX

select Catalog ... and Click the SEARCH ...
