How and where do I install this flash file???

I had a custom template made, but unfortunately instead of a flash video the builder made a slide show, no biggy, but I would like to add the flash file that I made (they were not sure how to do it and referred me here). Anyways, on which file do I put the script and this code, and will this code run, as I saw another post saying something about how people are warned about a Java script running and are scared that it could be a virus and they don't visit. Will this code do that? How would I change it to make it compatible? Thanks!!!

well... the JS does not get placed into the core HTML. There is a PROCEDURE for getting JS to invoke when needed. There is a good tutorial in the WIKI on this.

Everything from the opening <object> tag to its closing </object> tag can be hard-coded (if you like) into the area you need it, by editing the relevant PHP file.

So you need to tell us EXACTLY where you want this flash file to show, and we can then advise (perhaps) on whet PP files to edit.

Thanks! I realize that the JS is not in the body, just wanted to add that in to the code to be looked at in case it made a difference. I will upload the store front here soon and then you can let me know where to put the code. As for the other question will this trigger a java script warning? I saw another post where they talked about it and they were using document.write....... thanks again!

Making use of "honest" javascript is common throughout zencart, so you do not need to concern yourself with this if your script is free from malicious code, or code that may make the site vulnerable to hack attacks.

JS files are generally located in page MODULE files, (or a template jscript folder) and need to be appropriately "composed" for proper loading and sequencing. The purpose here is to get the relevant JS to load only when it is needed, usually via a LINK REL tag in the page's header.

The resource that then needs to draw on the JS, will do so from the JS's reference in the HML header of that page.

This technique not only ensures that unnecessary JS is loaded, but also avoids potential conflict occurrences.

As I said, the technique for configuring and housing the JS file is outlined in a WIKI tutorial, and is quite straight-forward to follow.

Thanks again! Ok, installed the template, and where you see the slideshow, I actually want to insert the code above for the video. I am not sure where I need to change the code, which folder/file, etc. as well as which folder I need to upload the video information.

Second, the shopping cart looks to be a jpg and you can see the black background. I don't want the "box" looking thing, does anyone know where I can get a shopping cart with a transparent background, and where do I change the image (file/folder)? Thanks again! - Here is the link to the store:

One more thing. How do I add a link to my forum and main page on the Zencart index? Is this something that can be done through the admin page (ie add a link in the side column) or is this something that will have to be coded in, and if so in which file? Thanks!!!

Bump on where to look to change the slide show out with my video code. I notice that ZenCart does not have index.html pages like phpbb does. So is the index in a php file??????? How does it render to the html? Thanks!
