How to move and resize login area?

Hi,
I'd like to move the login area from the position on the main page to the header where the twitter and facebook icons.

This is the code in tpl_index-default.php that defines the log-in box.

If so, how I can get login area smaller than is now to better fit the new position in the header? Thank you.

look in Free addon section for a module that already dose that.

i think is called header login . or something like that .
