1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your

Hi,

There is an error that causes the shopping cart [Zen Cart 1.3.8a] to not function at all.
The Add To Cart button is gone, and when clicking on View Shopping Cart, this shows:

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 6
in:
[select p.products_id, pd.products_name, products_date_available as date_expected, p.master_categories_id from products p, products_description pd where p.products_id = pd.products_id and p.products_status = 1 and pd.language_id = '1' and p.products_date_available >20110620235959 order by date_expected desc limit ]

Please help.

Regards,

Masha

As kobra said, your question is likely answered in the other threads on the same topic. The first one listed below contains the solution that likely fits your case: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178145

I've looked at the admin > conf. > max. val. ... and have no idea what you're talking about. What I have set to 0 means that it's off and not a numerical value.

Please give other suggestions.

Thanx

Re: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your

What have you set to 0? And what is set to blank?

I suspect you've got the "Upcoming products" set to blank, which would cause the symptoms you describe.

Re: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your

Thank you, the error disappeared after I put a number on the Upcoming Products.

However, the button Add To Cart is still gone. Now, it just shows Contact Us. :dontgetit

What should I do?

Re: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your

If you've set your store into showcase mode, then it will not offer any add-to-cart buttons; instead, it offers Contact Us.
And if you've set your individual products as "Call for Price", it will display a Contact Us button instead of add-to-cart.
