There was a security error when trying to login - FAQ no help...

I've gone through the many many posts on this problem, and looked into the possible solutions but am stuck...

When I create the user, it is fine, but then I can't log back in using the same user.

I'm using fairly vanilla Zen v1.3.9d with only a few template changes, never upgraded, and I haven't touched the often-mentioned login files:
tpl_timeout_default.php
tpl_login_default.php

My Provider recently did some kind of an upgrade to the back end system, and it hasn't worked since. :censored:

There was an initial problem with the ssl security, but they fixed it and now they're blaming my Zen Cart... :frusty:

Update:

I'm installing a new parallel installation of the latest version of Zen Cart - going to point to same database (no db changes between d and h) and see if problem persists.

New Parallel Install of h on new database works fine... will try and debug...

..er maybe not..

Yup - new install works perfect.

Now I just need to fix the old install.... :wacko:

Please let me know what you did to fix the old install...I'm in the same boat.
