1054 Unknown column 'customers_paypal_payerid' in 'field list'

I am having the same problem, but it's not a timeout error. Here it is:

1054 Unknown column 'customers_paypal_payerid' in 'field list'
in:
[SELECT customers_id, customers_firstname, customers_lastname, customers_paypal_payerid, customers_paypal_ec FROM zen_customers WHERE customers_email_address = '[email protected]' ]

If I log in and go through the shipping page, then checkout via paypal, everything works. It's only when trying to do it at the shopping cart page or the Welcome/login page.

If there is no fix to this problem, then how can I remove the Paypal buttons on the shopping cart page and welcome/login page?

Thanks.

Re: 1054 Unknown column 'customers_paypal_payerid' in 'field list'

That field was added to the database in v1.3.7

If you're getting an error saying "unknown column 'customers_paypal_payerid'", then that means your database is at v1.3.6 level or older, and your PHP code is at 1.3.7 or newer.
You'll need to fix things to bring them back to both being on the same level.
