resize search field in header

resize search field in header

I have searched everywhere to find this answer. I have a search field and button in the header that I want to make bigger.
I found this information from firebug

and I cannot find anything in CSS which relates with it.
I searched a good many times in developer area of admin which gave many files to check. I have look everywhere but do not know where to change the values. PHP is gobledygook for me.

I want to change style width for the field and the submit button.

can someone point me to the right direction please?

Your search box has the following HTML attribute> style="width: 100px"You could use the Admin > Tools > Developer Toolkit to find the file where the field is being generated and then increase its width from 100px.

I did this and it worked. I think before that I use wrong search words.
