Wide Banner Adds

Good Morning all,
At the moment I am very frustrated. I am trying to add/change some wide banner Adds, UI am using Zencart v1.3.9h I know where to do it. Sometimes i get a Picture sometimes i don't. Any wording for Product description I never get. Also i never get the Price Some times on the site in the relevant screen (which is Blank0 i get a small square Top LH Corner with a Red Cross x But cannot do anything with it. So my question is where am I going wrong. Ormore important how do i do it from scratch.
I think it best if you treat me as a complete "numbskull" or to put it better "completely thick".
All help will be greatly appreciated.

A link so we can see your issue would help

1. Have you checked via a webbrowser that the images are there.
   by this I mean type
   http //: mysite/images/banners/mybanner.jpg and see if it shows up

Images can be corrupted in an upload, or if the image file size is to big it may not show

Provide us a link to a banner that is supposed to be showing on the site
and a link to where it is supposed to show up

2. A link to a page with missing price would be good,
