Not charging tax?

I am having a problem with the pricing on my site. If you order a product it shows the price inclusive of VAT. It continues to show you this when until after I've gone to pay with Paypal. For some reason the site it shows the net price, postage and vat but the total charged to the customer is net plus postage, which means my customers are getting a bloody good bargain! I'm not sure where the error is so please can somebody help before I go bust!!!!

Have just checked my website and strange things are happening...... One minute the product is displayed with gross price, the next with net. Any ideas?

Does the VAT issue startup after leaving your site to go to PayPal, if so then something needs setup within PayPal correctly, i believe PayPal has a VAT section that probably needs filling in or setup to work.

Which version of Zencart are you using. ?

Go to Admin - Categories - Category Product and open one of the products, check that tax class has been selected, if it has and everything looks good at the checkout and the issues happen once it leaves to go to PayPal then maybe in PayPal you need to configure in PayPal admin - Profile - My Selling Preferences - VAT.

The above is a guess since i do not use VAT, i wish i made enough to need to switch that on.
