Free Shipping to USA only

I am trying to set up a free shipping option to the United States only. Right now free shipping is being offered to the USA, but I cannot ship at all to the rest of the world. I am thinking that the freeshipper option needs to be configured for the USA only and the USPS module to the rest of the world. How do I offer worldwide shipping via USPS but only offer free shipping to USA only?

Here are my current settings:

Shipping Modules:
USPS (Untited States Postal Service) Enabled and working correctly
Free Shipping (freeshipper). Enabled, Shipping cost is: 0.00, Shipping Zone: United States.

Locations/Taxes> Zone Definitions:
Zone Name: Untited States, Zone Description: Untited States Free Shipping. (The folder under zone name when clicked is attatched to: Country: United States, Zone: All Zones).

I had to set up a United States zone definition in order for it to show in the drop-down of the free shipping module listed above.

Once again, I just want the free shipping to be offered in the United States. But I would like to ship worldwide via USPS which I have enabled and has been working properly before I added the zone definition. The settings above do offer free shipping within the US, but do not allow me to ship anything outside of the US!

Free Shipping freeshipper is used for Always Free Shipping products and/or Products marked as 0 weight when 0 weight is defined to mean Free Shipping in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...

Instead of Free Shipping freeshipper you want Free Options freeoptions to be able to show this shipping method at the same time as other shipping methods to US customers ... and set the Total >= 0.00 and the Zone to the US ...

I did as you said and now it won't let me checkout with a US address. During checkout, I get this error: "Sorry we are not shipping to your region at this time"

So with the recommendations provided, it won't let me checkout with a USA address. I couldn't find the setting/s blocking this. Any ideas?

Is your Product either 0 weight or marked as Always Free Shipping?

I think I got it. You have to set each individual product:
Always Free Shipping: No Normal Shipping Rules.

What happens if you estimate shipping or checkout, is that you can check the free shipping option if it's available. Basically you can pay your other shipping carrier or check free shipping.

I currently offer free shipping in USA (domestic orders) for all orders $199 or more.
I would like to offer my international customers free shipping as well, but at a higher minimum order... say around $400.

So Free shipping if:
Domestic order = $199 or more
International order = $400 or more

I can't seem to figure out how to accomplish this and didn't see it anywhere in the forum.

On the Free Shipping, do you want to offer only Free Shipping or do you want to offer a Free Shipping Option in addition to the normal shipping methods? :unsure:

Sorry for the late reply... I believe it would be a Free Shipping Option. Right now I offer my domestic (USA customers) free shipping for orders over $199 and when they are checking out, if their sub-total is $199 or more, the free shipping option is already automatically checked for them... the other upgraded UPS 2nd day, 3 day options are still showing though if they wish to select an upgraded shipping option and lose their free ground shipping option.
So I would like the International Free Shipping option to become automatic when my International customer reaches a certain dollar amount that I am able to adjust.
For instance, if I set "Free International Shipping on all orders over $400", all orders with a sub-total of $400 or more leaving the USA would receive free shipping but the customer could still select an upgraded shipping method if they choose to.

I hope I didn't "over explain" what I'm trying to accomplish :)

Turn off the setting in the Modules ... Order Total ... Shipping ot_shipping ... where the setting for Free Shipping is enabled ...

Turn on the Modules ... Shipping ... Free Shipping Options freeshippingoptions and set the Total to >= 199.00 and set the Zone to you Zone Definition for the US ...

If you then need a different one for International, you should build a Zone Definition for Internation and clone the Free Shipping Options freeoptions shipping module and set the Total to >= 400.00 and set the Zone Definition for the rest of the world ...

Now you will see your regular shipping modules and one or the other of the Free Shipping Options at the same time based on the Zone Definition and the amount ...
