Is there a way to let my users track the order status without logging into the account...

No. There is no built-in feature for that.

You could use the order_status portion of the COWOA add-on (http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=1655), which allows a user to supply the email address used for the order and the order number to view the order's status ... without logging in.
