Re: Social Networking Sidebar

Hi Anne,
I have been working at this for way too long now. I some how got it to work on my site https://www.madaboutorganics.com this morning, but other parts of our site were not working with the new template. As I was trouble shooting the site I got the rest of the site to function properly but now for some strange reason the Social Networking Sidebar will not appear. I hope you or someone else on here can take a look at our site and help figure this out. I would greatly appreciate it.

Ben

I am not seeing any problem with the module on your site.

Thanks,

Anne

You need to merge the changes for both modules to the includes/templates/your_template/common/tpl_main_page.php file.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Social Networking Sidebar

When can an update be expected for this package (a mention of an update was posted over 5 months ago)?

Use a file comparison tool like beyond compare to figure out where the changes are. Start with your default tpl_main_page.php and add in the changes for the first module, then add the changes for the second module to the changed file.

Thanks,

Anne

I will update the package when I have the free time. I can not give you a hard date.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Social Networking Sidebar

I have installed this and I see the code pop up on the homepage of my website but the sidebar is not showing up. Can you look at the source code on the homepage and see if you can see a mistake?

http://www.goodejuice.com

This thing has me pulling my hair out. I wonder if something else is screwing it up.

Re: Social Networking Sidebar

Thanks for the reply Anne. I'm guessing I need to find a way to merge the two jquerries to get it to work on the homepage also. Maybe I will figure it out someday. :D
Thanks again!

Re: Social Networking Sidebar

How do you make it show up on top of the page? Left and right work on a pc but not a mobile device or a tablet.

Thanks

picaflor-azul:

Edit the stylesheet to move the bar wherever you want it.

Thanks,

Anne
If only it was that simple, move it to the top and it disappears, otherwise I wouldn't ask Anne! A few months back there was a tutorial within the forum under one of your threads that offered advice on how to accomplish this on YOUR abbington template (the old one) not the newest one.
