Database transfer - Local test site to live server

Hi,
I am using v1.3.8a because I'm using the Japanese language pack and have a test sever on my local machine, where I have inputted all my products and tested them to see how they look, after lots of adjustments, I would like to know how to move this data to a fresh install of Zen cart on my live server. If this is possible I would like to then have one install on my test sever and one on the live server, where I can then update the live server each time I make an edit. Can I export the whole database with all the customizations to the live server or even just the new products, keeping both the same. This would be handy to know as it takes forever to try things out on the live server with my slow internet connection.

if you only want to transfer the products and categories with description easy populate will do this for you.

If you want complete database changeover then depends wat you use. if you are using cPanel then you would be able to export complete sql from local and export to your live sql server..

Hi thanks for your answer. It's good to know that it's possible. If I change the whole database, do I need to update any files, e.g. configuration.php and also can I send the whole of my local setup to the live server without needing to run the setup on the live server. Thanks.
