How do i Set default image size when clicked to enlarge?

Hello, I would love to know how do i set the default size of a large image.
I have small images at the bottom of each listing. When these are clicked a larger window opens with a larger image, this image is a little to large.

Does anyone know how i would set the default size for that?
Before i add the image, i do re-size it to 600 x 600 which is a great size,

Once the new image is opened in the new window i can hit ( cnt - )

this zooms out and make the image my desired size.

You should install Image Handler (there is now a version 3 available), and this will "magically" make most of your image problems go away.

However... you should still OPTIMISE your images BEFORE you FTP them to the server.

Decide on a DIMENSIONAL size for your portrait pics, and for your landscape pics.

We find that LANDSCAPE 700 x 550 and PORTRAIT 550 X 700 is pretty good.

TRY TO MAKE ALL IMAGES YOUR CHOSEN STANDARD SIZES...

And using a GOOD IMAGE EDITOR will enable you to achieve a factor of compression that gives you reasonably low file size without too much lossiness.

We can usually optimise our 700 x 550 images to be about 90kb to 130kb at 120dpi (don't use higher dpi than this. Most computer screens can't resolve it anyway...)
