centering page loses footer

I create page 4 inside admin > tools > define pages editor

I have added an image of a map and a zip code lookup. The problem starts when I try to position it, I lose the footer.

The content of the page is copied direct from our previous site into this page. As soon as I copy, everything is good and the page has a footer.
When I make everything centre with the editor, the footer is now lost. Even when I put the align back to the left the footer is still lost. The only way to get the footer back is to reload the code.

I also tried to add a div around it all or even just parts of it (the image only) but the problem is the same.

How can I resolve this please?

thank you
